Dashboard Lights - Todd McClead

I was born and raised in Northeastern Ohio. I always wanted to be a lead singer in a rock & roll band. I started playing the drums when I was 8 years old. I played in the school bands until I was able to find a group of guys to form a band when we were 14 years old. We played easy cover rock tunes and I became a singing drummer. I have always had a band and I finally had my chance to be the front man singer I always wanted to be when I was 25. I still play the drums today, but I continue to be the singer at the front of the stage.
I moved to Cleveland’s Westside in 1987 where I met my current wife and soul mate; Connie. She has supported me all along and still does today. After moving to Cleveland, I met a group of other musicians and started an 80’s band playing throughout the Westside Cleveland suburbs and Cleveland Flats. These were some of the very best times of my life. As the 90’s approached, I took some time off from the music scene. I started again in 1994 with a Classic Rock 80’s band called CLASSX. This band has seen many members since 1994, and is now being retired for an all new line-up as we merge with DASHBOARD LIGHTS, and offer an opening act with the all new RAZOR X.
My personal music influences are; Paul Rogers, John Waite, Foreigner, Rush, Bon Jovi, and most of the 80’s Hair Band era.
I feel very fortunate and honored to have met Donny DePasquale at Nautica on 9/11/2010 and join forces with this very talented DBL line-up. I look forward to show Northeast Ohio how Rock & Roll in Cleveland is still ALIVE!
